Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum

THIS MUSEUM IS A MUSEUM PASS PARTNER

Landis Valley has an outstanding collection of buildings and artifacts representing Pennsylvania German culture and life.  Brothers Henry and George Landis built this collection throughout the course of their lives and the PHMC continues to operate this site.

Cornwall Iron Furnace

Cornwall Iron Furnace is a complete 19th century charcoal cold blast furnace, the only one of its time in the Western Hemisphere.  The site includes a small museum and the furnace complex itself.  Cornwall produced iron from 1742-1883

Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site

Hopewell is not only a historic iron furnace, but contains the various structures of an entire village.  Among its buildings are the furance, tenet houses, a blacksmith shop, barn, store, springhouse, and the ironmasters mansion.

York Heritage Trust Agricultural and Industry Museum

This is one of the finest historical society museums in the area.  It contains artifacts from York County, including a locomotive, a plane, plows, pottery, a Conestoga wagon, and many kinds of machinery and tools.

Mercer Museum

The Mercer Museum houses a collection of artifacts used by everyday people.  It is housed in a 6 story concrete building that must be seen to be believed.  Highlights of the collection include stove plates, a gallows, and cigar store statues.

Moravian Pottery and Tile Works

Tour through the century old facility that still produces tile in the style and tradition of founder Henry Mercer.  The century old building is made entirely of concrete and is located adjacent to Fonthill Castle, the home of Henry Mercer.

Eckley Miners Village

Eckley Miners Village represents a late 19th and early 20th Centery company coal mining town.  Homes, churches, and other structures comprise a once active community.  A movie was filmed at the site in the late 1960s.
